What a way to begin my 2010 wedding season! While Norwegian weddings don't share the same customs as the ones in the US, they are as much fun... This was a weekend that I will not forget, not because of the cold temperatures but because of the wonderful people I met and their beautiful country which I plan to visit again in the near future.
This is the beautiful view from the mountain where the wedding took place. |

The morning of the wedding with temperatures of -10 and snowing made it optimal to go cross-country skying and get married in the mountains...

This image of Hilde getting ready while her maid of honor feeds her new baby is one of my favorites from the whole wedding.

So many ties, so little time :-)

I love this beautiful moment between Hilde and her son.

Seeing and capturing images like this one is what my approach to documenting a wedding is all about... Thank you to all my clients that allow me to capture one of a kind, real moments that are never contrived or posed to mimic current trends.

This is one of those images that clearly defines my style of seeing and documenting weddings. It is another favorite from Hilde and Harald's wedding shot last month in Norway (a full blog post is coming very soon, I promise) and I just love how all the layers in the frame (Hilde applying her makeup, the dress by the bed, shoes and bag on the floor, the maid of honor feeding her baby and the hands of the hair/makeup artist) come together and depict a very intimate yet beautiful moment during the bridal preparations which can not be staged or replicated on another wedding.
